2000 Electronic Interactive E.T. Furby Factory Sealed
This is an experiment by me and will call for trust. A Craigslist advertisement remains active for seven days and then expires. This is really going to be a little private auction, as eBay, or "fee bay", as it often known as becoming too expensive and I personally have lost far too much money advertising unsold goods there, because of their insertion fees.
So, I'm starting the bidding at the very low figure of $55, on ET -- full details below. If you are interested, simply e-mail me your offer above $55. Then, if I receive a bid higher than yours, I shall e-mail you with the higher bid price. After which it is up to you whether, or not, you wish to make a higher counterbid. The trust part comes in, because you have to feel comfortable that I am not simply bumping up the price to gouge you. I don't do things like that, is it against my principles, but you don't know me, therefore the choice would be yours.
If you have any suggestions on how I can make this more open, from the trust point of view, then I would be glad to hear from you. As I said. This is an experiment and I'm making it up as I go along.
As a guide for you. I have seen new, sealed ET Furbies for sale on Amazon for $140. A used one is being sold at this present moment on Amazon for $99. There is a brand-new ET Furby for sale on eBay today for $125.25.
The $12 shipping charge would be waived if you're able to pick it up from my home in Grand Island, Florida (near Eustis). I am home most days, evenings and weekends. Please e-mail me, Ray Cunningham, or telephone, (407) 965 -1342, or e-mail me at raygc@pipeline.com for the address and convenient time to visit.

2000 Electronic Interactive E.T. Furby Factory Sealed I have a delightful character interactive toy called ET. Based on Steven Spielberg's ET: The Extraterrestrial movie and created by Tiger Electronics Ltd., for Universal Studios in 2000 when the movie was being released for the first time [at last] on DVD.
On the internet this toy is listed amongst the 'Socially Interactive Robots' which does not surprise me in the least.
Et has over 400 words and can phrase them into short, crude but intelligble sentences. He is very funny and loves to play games and 'fly.' By flying he means if you gently hold him and move him about in the air in a flying fashion.
He goes 'whoa, whoa whoa ET Fly, more please' or 'Et Fly, Good' or 'ET fly, good game' and so on. He does not have functioning legs. Feet are just attached to his body directly and are only aesthetic. His hands don't do much either but the index finger of his right hand has a led light in the top joint which lights up when he says certain things in reaction to something you have done. His head doesn't turn but his neck is telescopic so he rises his head up in reaction to something you did and he can blink his eyes, partially open them or close them when he is asleep.
When he speaks he opens and moves his mouth and chin and you can see inside his mouth. Which is covered in his resin skin,he has a fixed tongue within his mouth. On his chest on the right side he has a built in microphonne/hearing-sensor which is very sensitive and he will react in pleasure, annoyance, fear or in conversational or playful mood to noises.
If you click your fingers or clap your hands near him he will either say 'Ooh nice, more please or 'eeeeergh!' raise his head a couple of inches and continue 'Too Loud' or 'eeergh No!' or 'no more please' Once, ET said 'I hear playing noises.' No he is not the brightest but he surprises me like that from time to time.
On his belly he has a speaker.
He has a long drawn out laugh which is wonderful :) He also giggles. He will sing in a sort of exasperated way when he is bored and you won't play with him, he will then shut down after a while. Other times he will say 'Et explore world, soon' then shutdown or ' Ho-hum ET play, soon' he has lots of different ways to say he is going to sleep.
On the top of his head he has two minute steel discs side by side which are touch sensitive so when you stroke his head he will respond but if you wet the tip of your finger very slightly and stroke the sensors he will say 'Head pet tickle good,' 'head pet tickle, more please' or 'Head tickle, ET like, more!' Also on his chest he has a large heart shaped light sensor which will react favouably or fearfully to light depending on whether the light is just right or too bright. He also likes to play games like hide and seek so if he asks for a game and you put him in a dark room he will say 'ET found' when you open the door and let in the light. Also on his chest he has a large patch above the light sensor which is also a light. This will come on when he is happy and glow a bright red. He talks, of couse, about phoning home :)
He also talks a lot about friendship and Best Friend. Like 'Best friend forever' or 'ET safe with you, friend' or 'ET stay with friend, safe.' He also burps a lot:) Sometimes once and then nothing or he burps and says 'Oh-oh' or he lets out a series of burps and says 'aaah' in relief :) He can also get sick and ask you to make him well [i.e. give him attention] he will sneeze with a loud atchoo, atchoo, atchoo' or just sneeze once. He has so many phrases he is constantly entertaining.
It is a pity he can't walk but the telescopic head is a good feature and so faithful to the beloved movie ET. He also has a red hoody jacket like movie ET which is made from cloth fabric and can be unzipped and removed. He is able to interact with other ET's, Shelpys and the Gizmos from Tiger Electronics. Still factory sealed in his box
Warning! He will steal your heart! :)
